Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose

The IEC Meter Product Line Leader (PLL) is responsible for development and implementation of a commercial strategy for the business / product line and will be measured on: orders, growth and profitability. The business consists of instrument transformer, single phase and polyphase IEC Meters, is forecasted to grow from $30MM in Sales in 2010 to $200MM in 2012.

Essential Responsibilities

Manage thru a matrix environment a team of subject experts and own global expansion plan for IEC meters sales strategy with licensees / partners and direct sales

Define commercial strategy for the business, ensure the growth and profitability of the product / service offerings by defining and allocating resources to execute necessary programs and by driving standard processes for fulfillment

Drive and achieve aggressive profitability and growth targets owning the budget for orders, sales and convertibility, and contribution margin

Develop and drive commercial business plan through the strategic planning and budgeting process

Provide the necessary strategic and overall P&L support to the Sales and Proposal development (ITO) teams in the development of proposals in pursuit of specific opportunities

Assist in opportunity screening, strategic direction of proposals, set pricing strategy based on market and cost data, and support final proposal reviews, representing the P&L as required and expected by the delegation of authority

Assist in formulating the order closing strategy for key strategic orders

Supply market and competitive analysis for segment and input to operations on resource needs and training

Provide support for NPI; market analysis, customer CTQ's, identification and quantification of market needs, required new products & services or new features, required investment and ROI

Work with engineering segment leaders to keep standard specifications current with market conditions

Work with Product Managers to develop and execute MGPPs

Qualifications/Requirements

BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management, or Business

Minimum of 10 years of Industry experience

Demonstrated business/commercial skills to lead growth, development and profitability; deep domain knowledge and experience in the Utility industry, preferably in Electric Utilities and market/customers; Effective organizational and communication skills

Strong analytical skills displaying creativity in solving problems with the aptitude to design work structures and reporting relationships based on complete understanding of the business and engineering concepts

Ability to apply advanced aspects of technical / engineering area to practical business problems

This position is located in Atlanta, GA.
