Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose The Lead Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for creating automated tests for a combined hardware, firmware, and software system. This role will play an essential role as part of an Agile team, participating in Sprint planning, daily SCRUM, and sprint retrospectives. The successful candidate will ensure the customer requirements as defined by the product owner are fully tested, requiring an in-depth system-level understanding.


Essential Responsibilities

· Create automated tests for a combined hardware, firmware, software system
· Actively support, engage and lead activities as part of an Agile team, participating in Sprint planning, daily SCRUM and Sprint retrospectives
· Ensure customer requirements as defined by the product owner are fully tested
· Act as a mentor to other QA engineers and strive to improve QA methodologies, procedures, tools, and training by leveraging industry standards and implementing best practice sharing
· Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
· Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures
· Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
· Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues


Qualifications/Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering - EE, CS, ME, or CompEng
· At least 4 years of work experience in an engineering / technology function
· At least 2 years of Test / Quality Assurance experience
· At least 1 year of experience with National Instruments tools (e.g. test stand, PXI)

· Master's Degree in Engineering
· Six Sigma green belt (GE Employees only)
· Familiarity with Bently Nevada products and applications
· Experience with Agile software development
